What a weekend! - Have to say
one of the luckiest we've had by far.
HUGE thanks go out to:
Don Beck - for all you do, we wouldn't be getting these
results without you!
Dan & Dale Zlock - for all their efforts.
Jeff and Francie LaMarche - for your superhuman efforts
in taking care of us each weekend.
Tom & Chris Young (Pirelli)
- thanks for your amazing support. You deserve the wins!
Garry Gallagher with EBC
- It was great to see you at the track my friend. Thanks for
all your support!
Congratulations:
To Kevin Pinkstaff for finding his MOJO this weekend. Kevin
blew the competition away with two wins in the 750 class.
Congrats bro!!
A video of us playing around in the pits over
dinner. Yes, we do have fun! (Kevin is using corn starch to
make this happen)

Coming into the penultimate race weekend of
2010 I wasn't actually feeling tip top. A gift from my awesome
kids was a sore throat and foggy head. Not the ideal condition
for efficient laps, but I put it aside (no excuses) and got
down to the business at hand.
Race 1 - 600 Supersport
I got a great start and slotted right in behind Chris Ancien
for second going into turn one. From here it was an all out
dogfight to the finish. We exchanged the lead several times
per lap. Lapped traffic played a small part in Chris's favour
but we maintained our touch with him and managed a last lap
pass to take the lead and hold him off until the finish line.
A great race!
Race 2 - 600 Superbike
With rain falling I was feeling exceptionally good. Our Pirelli
rain tires are absolutely phenomenal and I knew we had a chance
at a win. I got a good start and found my way to the front.
From here I just set into a pace waiting for the tires to
come in. Once they began to give me the consistent feedback
I needed I started to push a little harder. I have to admit
I had a lot of fun on the bike. When you're getting the feedback
from your bike and tires in conditions like this it's exhilarating
to push and experience just how fast you can go in the wet.
With this we got lucky and took the win.
Race 3 Formula Ultra
With a wet but drying track we gambled and took out the 600
on full race rain tires. I had my work cut out for me against
the 1000's for sure. I got a decent start and luckily managed
to get to the lead by turn two. From here I put in some hard
laps and pushed to the limit in an effort to get a gap on
the field. Alas my efforts were too much for the tires; I
had simply asked so much from them in the first eight laps.
My drive grip was still manageable but I had lost lateral
grip to the point where I was having to really slow down in
the long right hand turns. Luckily we continued to push and
still managed to get second. Congrats to Tony Porter for his
deserved win in this race.
From here I have a few weeks off then it's
the final race of 2010 with the OMRRA finale.
Stay tuned!
